About the Event

The St. Clair Butterfly Foundation (SCBF) is proud to announce its upcoming event, "Transformation on the Trail: Boardman Lake Clean-Up & Creative Exploration," in partnership with The Home Depot of Traverse City. This dynamic event is set to take place on September 23, 2023, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Hull Park, Boardman Lake Trail, Traverse City.

"Transformation on the Trail" invites the community to a day of purposeful action, creativity, and connection. The event encompasses the SCBF’s mission to promote personal growth, community bonding, and environmental stewardship. Participants will engage in trail clean-up activities, symbolizing the commitment to renewing and preserving the natural beauty of the Boardman Lake Trail.

The event further offers a platform for community engagement, featuring interactive booths hosted by local organizations. Attendees will explore initiatives, resources, and the transformative power of the expressive arts in mental health healing. Throughout the day, attendees can volunteer for the trail clean-up, participate in creative workshops, and connect with like-minded individuals who share a passion for positive change.

"We are excited to bring together the community for a day of meaningful engagement," says Jordan Woodstock, General Manager of The Home Depot of Traverse City. "Our partnership with the St. Clair Butterfly Foundation reflects our commitment to supporting initiatives that drive positive change."

This event highlights SCBF’s commitment to Traverse City and the surrounding areas as it aims to make an even deeper impact. Founded in 2007, SCBF provides expressive arts programming and trauma-informed training for educators and other child development professionals. To date, SCBF has impacted the lives of over 20,000 young people and their families.

"We envision 'Transformation on the Trail' as a celebration of renewal, creativity, and unity," says Lisa St. Clair, Co-Founder and Executive Director of SCBF. "Our collaboration with The Home Depot of Traverse City underscores the shared values of community betterment and personal transformation."

"Transformation on the Trail" is an open invitation to individuals of all ages who are eager to contribute to their community's betterment, explore their creativity, and connect with others who share their vision.
